ABOUT MATTHEW WONG

 

Matthew was called to the Bar in 2004 and is accredited as Family Law Mediator and Arbitrator.

Prior to being called to the Bar, he held various roles within the Office of the CEO of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and as a currency broker and marker advisor.

Matthew’s background and longstanding experience in legal, corporate and commercial roles coupled with his trial experience, allows Mathew to appear in matters involving complex bankruptcy, insolvency, guardianship, commercial, taxation, capital and debt disputes. His experience in parenting matters is equally extensive, having represented parents, grandparents, and as Counsel for appointed Independent Children’s Lawyers. 

Matthew also practices in area of Estates and has appeared before the Supreme Court of New South Wales to represent clients in relation to contested wills, probate and family provision claims. 

Matthew’s reputation results in him appearing before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia cross the country. He has been recognised in the Doyle’s Guide to Australian Practitioners on various occasions as “leading” in his field.
