Abby is based in Newcastle and practises in family law, criminal law, wills and estates, family provision, guardianship, equity (protective) and broader civil litigation. She accepts briefs beyond Newcastle and Hunter Valley Region and regularly attends courts in the greater Sydney area.
She regularly appears for individuals and families ranging from urgent parenting recoveries and Magellan matters to contested estate litigation, guardianship proceedings, and criminal matters. Abby is known for her compassionate approach and her ability to support clients through highly sensitive and often distressing disputes, including cases involving family violence, vulnerable children, and disadvantaged clients.
Abby was called to the bar in 2025.
Before being called to the Bar, Abby practised as a solicitor at firms in Newcastle, the Hunter Valley, Canberra and Forster. She managed complex family law, wills and estate, and criminal law matters and was the instructing solicitor in published cases. She appeared as solicitor and solicitor advocate before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, the Supreme Court of New South Wales, the New South Wales Local Court, the Children’s Court, and NCAT.
Abby holds a Master of Laws (Applied Law) with a double major in Family Law and Wills & Estates, and has built a reputation for clear advocacy, strong analytical skills, and a client-focused approach.
